DREAM. BELIEVE. SOAR.
Jye Frasca was born in the beachside city of Newcastle, Australia. Holding citizenship in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, he is a celebrated two-time West End Theatre Award nominee for Best Actor.
His passion for performing ignited during a childhood family trip to New York City. Witnessing his first Broadway show, and inspired by the cinematic artistry of Gene Kelly, Robert De Niro, and fellow countryman Hugh Jackman, Jye set his sights on a global performance career and never looked back.
At just 16 years old, Jye was awarded a full scholarship to the prestigious London Studio Centre, prompting his move from Australia to the United Kingdom. Within a year of arriving in London, he launched a prolific West End career. He starred in definitive productions of West Side Story, Mamma Mia!, and the record-breaking run of Cats. He then joined the National Theatre for the Olivier Award-winning production of Anything Goes and Sir Trevor Nunn’s Love’s Labour’s Lost alongside Joseph Fiennes.
Jye's West End trajectory continued with foundational roles in the Queen musical We Will Rock You, the world premiere of Disney’s Mary Poppins, and the original London cast of Wicked alongside Tony Award winner Idina Menzel. He went on to lead the London premiere of the Grammy-winning sensation Jersey Boys, and earned his first Best Actor nomination for the acclaimed premiere of Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story, and starred in the world premiere adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s Fiesta: The Sun Also Rises.
Following his dynamic run in London, Jye relocated to the United States. Within just three months of moving stateside, he made a triumphant American stage debut, reprising his iconic turn as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys before making his Broadway debut as Boq in the historic 15th Anniversary cast of the smash hit musical Wicked.
Equally at home on camera, Jye headlines the British feature films Kaufman’s Game and Reality Mine. His television credits span both sides of the Atlantic, including the lead role of Travolta in BBC Comedy’s Schizo Samurai Shitzu, ABC’s musical comedy series Galavant, and a starring turn on the hit action-drama series Leverage: Redemption. Most recently, Jye returned to the stage to star in the highly acclaimed UK premiere of Allan Knee’s Syncopation, a performance that secured his second West End Theatre Award nomination for Best Actor.
